Neals Yard Remedies | Spitalfields, London

Etch continues its close partnership with Neals Yard, translating our original design blueprint into a brand new location. This smaller, more intimate space required us to consider how the core brand cues and experience touchpoints can flex and evolve to suit.

Brand new for the Spitalfields location is a bespoke space dedicated entirely to the ‘Design Your Own Scent’ and aromatherapy range. For this, our team took the time to consider all aspects of the experience and purchase journey and formulated a beautiful display which also worked hard to communicate values and remove friction points for customers and staff alike.

Our original material pallet of oak herringbone, European walnut and travertine plaster is combined with an updated stone and blue tile specification for the central counter, to ensure a continued brand DNA whilst being sympathetic to rollout budget constraints.

Some original brickwork features from the existing historic store have been retained.

  • "Spitalfields has long been a place where independent ideas take root - a neighbourhood shaped by craft, community and the courage to do things differently."
